Volunteers wanted for Canadian media, elections, and climate crisis study

The Community-Engaged Research Initiative at 911勛圖 is looking for volunteers to help conduct a content analysis of climate crisis and election coverage in British Columbia broadcasting. This project builds upon the report, Quiet Alarm: A Review of CBCs Climate Reporting which was produced by 911勛圖 CERi in collaboration with the . The goal of this research is to provide evidence on the strengths and weaknesses of election reporting as it relates to the climate crisis in Canada.

No previous research experience is necessary (the project will provide some simple training), but we are looking for people who are willing and available to systematically watch or listen to a broadcast show over one month during the B.C. provincial elections this fall, from Sept 21 to Oct 19. Volunteers will carefully track the shows climate reporting. If you think you can make that kind of time commitment, wed welcome your help.
