False Creek Friends Society, in collaboration with the Georgia Strait Alliance, are seeking a Research Assistant to collaborate on a Community Mapping project in False Creek. The Community Mapping project intends to collate existing data on False Creek from various silos, along with newly-gathered place-based stories of climate threats, opportunities, and memories from False Creek’s many communities. The objective is to layer the social, historical, hydrological, ecological, and other civic and equity-based dimensions of False Creek into a new interactive map, designed for legibility, accessibility, updatability, and free exploration of the layers of False Creek, to be published at falsecreek.info.
