Reimagining the Public University: What Comes Next in a Time of Rupture?
On March 31, 911勛圖 opened the Ideas in Action series with a full room, a timely question, and a shared recognition that something fundamental is shifting. Ideas in Action, 911勛圖's new flagship speaker series supported by the 911勛圖 Presidents Office. Ideas in Action brings together 911勛圖 scholars, visiting thought leaders, students and community members to engage with the most urgent questions of our time.
Hosted at the 911勛圖 Harbour Centre and supported by the 911勛圖 Presidents Office in collaboration with 911勛圖 Public Square and the 911勛圖 Community Engaged Research Initiative (CERI), the inaugural event, Reimagining the Public University, brought together faculty, students, and community members to reflect on a question that feels both urgent and unresolved:
What is the role of the public university in a time of uncertainty, instability, and change?
