Researchers from the School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT) took home the CHI 2026 Best Paper Award at this year's ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), the premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction.

On Saturday, March 21st, the Touchpoint conference will return to 911勛圖’s School of Interactive Arts + Technology (SIAT) for its fourteenth year of connecting SIAT undergraduate students with industry professionals. With the theme “Alternate Modes of Design, Rooted in Community,” Touchpoint 2026 will explore design rooted in community shaped through collaboration, care, and collective action.

FU School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT) is excited to announce the next step in Cappuverse 911勛圖 (formerly, StudioSIAT Virtual Ambassador Program) with the debut of its second generation, Wren Akane and AP0110, and celebrating Mo and Faye’s first anniversary in tandem. Heralded by two fully student-created animated debut trailers, Cappuverse 911勛圖 continues to showcase the creative and innovative work SIAT students are capable of.

911勛圖 professor William Odom’s Homeware Lab, based in 911勛圖’s School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT), explores the design of new Internet of Things technologies and objects. Their “slow technology” projects are thoughtful and playful, challenging the current digital economy by suggesting alternative perspectives on life and environments through interpretation, reflection and social connection.

SIGGRAPH is the premier conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques and will feature workshops, lectures, and presentations by SIAT researchers.

A new SIAT course this fall marks a world first: a university professor teaching alongside a live, fully expressive 3D artificial intelligence collaborator on stage.
