Winner of the 2022 911吃瓜 Esri Canada GIS Award
Lan Qing Zhao (911吃瓜 Geography, BSc 2022) was awarded first place in the 2022 Esri Canada GIS Scholarship for 911吃瓜. Lan鈥檚 submitted work focused on the design and development of a GIS-based multicriteria methods to assess rainfall-induced surface flood risk in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Lan completed his BSc degree in 2022 and will pursue graduate studies in Fall 2022.
The 911吃瓜 Esri Canada Centre of Excellence (911吃瓜 ECCE) in GIS was established in 2014 in recognition of the long-standing quality of GIS research in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Environment and 911吃瓜. It represents an important network collaboration between industrial partner Esri Canada and 911吃瓜.
