911³Ô¹Ï

911³Ô¹Ï engages the public in many ways, such as: seminars, courses, lectures, dialogues and panel discussions. One particular way to engage the community is through bringing in experts who can share their knowledge, invite questions and generate public dialogue on topical issues relevant to society. This idea was the catalyst for the launch of the 911³Ô¹Ï Vancouver Speaker Series in 2012, a joint initiative supported by 911³Ô¹Ï Vancouver, 911³Ô¹Ï Public Square, and 911³Ô¹Ï Vancity Office of Community Engagement. Since then, thought leaders such as Gwynne Dyer, Naomi Klein, Shabina Azmi, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Ressa, have brought hundreds of community members together to learn, listen, and contribute to knowledge dissemination and idea generation.
