Transfer Students

911³Ô¹Ï offers a very limited number of funding options for students entering 911³Ô¹Ï as transfer students.

University Transfer Entrance Scholarship

Each Fall, 911³Ô¹Ï offers automatic transfer entrance scholarships to the top domestic and international 911³Ô¹Ï applicants who are transferring to 911³Ô¹Ï from another recognized Canadian university and meet the eligibility requirements found below.

The University Transfer Entrance Scholarships do not require an application. Canadian University Transfer students are automatically considered. The University Transfer Entrance Scholarship is awarded to the top students transferring to any faculty. Based on the highest final transfer admission GPA.

Indigenous Undergraduate Student Entrance Award

Citizenship: Canadian Indigenous
Term: Fall (September)
Application: Required

Applicants will have demonstrated involvement within the Indigenous community through service and/or cultural contribution. Recipients would demonstrate this through their commitment to engagement, leadership and social justice within their community, and would be selected based on their ability to demonstrate how their current and future experience(s) are inclusive of the 4Rs (Kirkness & Barnhardt, 1991): Respect, Relevance, Reciprocity, and Responsibility. 

CKNW Kid's Fund Bursary

Overview

Value: Up to $66,000 (split into 12 equal installments)
Number: 2

Citizenship: Canadian or Permanent Resident
Term: Fall
Application: Required

One or more bursaries will be awarded, on the basis of demonstrated financial need, to an undergraduate student entering 911³Ô¹Ï from a BC secondary school or college. Applicant must be a single parent.

Other Financial Support

Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents also have access to other financial opportunities including government Student Loans, undergraduate 911³Ô¹Ï Awards, 911³Ô¹Ï Bursaries, and the 911³Ô¹Ï Work-Study program in their first term.

You may also qualify to apply for the BC Scholarship Society Transfer Scholarship, valued at $5000. This is an externally-administered scholarship (not done through 911³Ô¹Ï). The application and deadline to apply are managed by the Society. To learn more about this exciting opportunity, please .

Bursaries administered by 911³Ô¹Ï, awarded on the basis of financial need, are provided as supplemental funding and cannot be used for the core funding required to meet immigration requirements.
