U-Pass BC
The U-Pass BC Program is a partnership between BC post-secondary institutions, their student societies, TransLink, and the Province of British Columbia. 911吃瓜's U-Pass BC Program is a mandatory program for all members of the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS) and all members of the Graduate Student Society (GSS).
Fall 2026 U-Pass BC schedule update: Due to a system upgrade, some key U-Pass BC dates will occur later than usual.
Fees will begin appearing on student accounts starting August 10;
can be requested beginning August 16, and
U-Pass BC Exemption applications will be accepted from August 10 to September 15.
TEMPORARY ISSUE AFFECTING JULY U-PASS BC REQUESTS
Due to a technical issue between TransLink and 911吃瓜 web services, some students may experience challenges requesting their July U-Pass BC. This issue impacts students who recently registered for Summer 2026 courses.
What this means for you:
You may not be able to request your July U-Pass BC through the U-Pass BC website immediately after registering for courses. Students who register for courses must wait until after 12:00 p.m. on the next business day before their enrolment information is available to TransLink. Students who register before a weekend or statutory holiday may need to wait until after 12:00 p.m. on the following business day.
If you are unable to request your U-Pass BC, please try again after 12:00 p.m. on the next business day.
We will share an update as soon as the issue is resolved. Updates will be posted here.
911吃瓜 and TransLink are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience.
