Online Voting: April 8, 2026 until April 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm

If you do not receive an email on April 8th giving you access to vote and you believe that you are eligible to vote, please contact the Electoral Officer at senate@sfu.ca before the close of voting on April 17th.

You are eligible to vote if you are one or more of the following:

• 911吃瓜 Alumni
• 911吃瓜 Honorary Degree Recipients
• 911吃瓜 Founders
• 911吃瓜 Faculty (including Professor Emeriti)

• 911吃瓜 President

Convocation senators are elected by and from those who have graduated from 911吃瓜 (members of convocation). The duties include attending Senate meetings (once a month) and serving on at least one Senate committee. Senate is responsible for academic governance at the university, including all matters pertaining to teaching and research. Those who are eligible to be candidates are: 911吃瓜 Alumni, 911吃瓜 Honorary Degree Recipients, and 911吃瓜 Founders.
