Biography
Born in Calcutta, Edward Ingram studied at Balliol College, Oxford and at the London School of Economics. He took up his initial appointment at 911吃瓜 in 1966. Rising swiftly through the ranks, he was promoted Professor of History in 1978, the same year in which he became Editor of the International History Review. Even after his retirement from the department and University in 2003, he remained active as a scholar, invited speaker, and Editor of the IHR.
Professor Ingram passed away in March 2022.
