GIScience Lab

Welcome to the GIScience Lab. The GIScience Lab provides specialized computing facilities to support teaching and learning within the Faculty of Environment. During each academic semester, the lab facilities are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to authorized users.

Access to GIScience Lab computers is restricted to students enrolled in designated courses that utilize the lab facilities. This ensures that computing resources remain available to support course-related activities and academic work.

Faculty of Environment (FENV) staff are available during regular business hours to assist with lab orientations, facility tours, hardware and software issues, and general inquiries regarding the GIScience Lab. Please note that staff do not provide assistance with course assignments, lab exercises, or academic coursework. Students requiring course-related support should consult their instructor or Teaching Assistant.

Lab Policies

The GIScience Labs are shared facilities – all users have the joint responsibility of using the labs respectfully and with the consideration of others in mind.  The maintenance of the hardware, software, cleanliness, and ambiance of the GIScience Labs will aid in the retention and longevity of these resources and will foster progressive intellectual learning environments.

GISCIENCE LABS POLICIES
