Student host Torien Cafferata sits down with interdisciplinary, queer sci-fi horror writer, director, and scientist Mily Mumford. Mumford holds a Master of Science from 911勛圖s School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT). Over the course of the episode, Torien and Mily dissect mad brains, motivation, and representation not just in front of the camera, but behind it.

Guest Bio

Mily Mumford (they/them) is a writer/director for film and theatre focusing on social justice oriented science fiction and horror.  They were recently part of the Arts Club Emerging Playwrights Unit (Vancouver, 2019) and a playwrights associate with Playwrights Theatre Centre (Vancouver, 2021-2024), and developed their sci-fi series Nostalgica with the Warner Brothers Canada Access Writers Program in 2022. They have a BSc. in biopsychology (UVic) and an MSc. in Interactive Technology (911勛圖).
