Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Accommodations
911吃瓜 School of Medicine Admissions
This information is for applicants who have been invited by the 911吃瓜 School of Medicine to participate in the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) for admission and who require disability-related accommodations.
Requesting Accommodations for the MMI
Applicants who require disability-related accommodations for the MMI may submit a request through 911吃瓜鈥檚 Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL).
Accommodation requests:
- are available only after an MMI invitation has been issued by the 911吃瓜 School of Medicine
- apply only to the MMI admissions process
- do not register applicants with CAL for academic accommodations if they are later admitted to 911吃瓜
How Accommodation Decisions Are Made
CAL reviews MMI accommodation requests in accordance with 911吃瓜 Policy, including but not limited to GP26. Accommodations are designed to remove functional barriers while maintaining the integrity of the MMI process.
Only the approved accommodations required for interview implementation are shared with the School of Medicine. Medical or diagnostic information is not shared with interviewers or admissions committee members.
How to Submit an MMI Accommodation Request
To request accommodations for the MMI, applicants must:
1. Complete the CAL MMI Accommodation Request Form
2. Email the completed form and any required supporting documentation to caladmin@sfu.ca
Documentation requirements are outlined in the MMI Accommodation Request Documentation Guidance. In many cases, documentation may be provided using the CAL MMI Verification of Disability Form completed by a qualified assessor.
Deadline to submit MMI accommodation requests: March 1st, 2026
Applicants are encouraged to submit requests as early as possible to allow sufficient time for review. If you anticipate requesting accommodations, please email CAL as soon as possible to let CAL know you may be pursuing an accommodation request鈥攖his supports CAL planning and timely review once you are able to submit your request.
Late or Newly Identified Conditions
If you experience a new injury, illness, or diagnosis after the March 1 deadline, please contact CAL as soon as possible. CAL and the School of Medicine will make reasonable efforts to explore available options.

Please do not submit medical documentation or accommodation requests to the School of Medicine. All disability-related information must be submitted directly to the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL).
