Madeleine MacLean
MRM (Planning)
Madeleine is a settler person who grew up on the unceded and rightful lands of the xÊ·məθkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and SÉ™lÌ“ÃlwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people. She is a graduate of the Master of Resource and Environmental Management (Planning) program at 911³Ô¹Ï, where she researched the intersection of local planning and Indigenous cultural heritage management with the XLAP team. Today, she continues to support Indigenous communities in asserting their Rights and Title over the land, waters, heritage, and resources through community-led land-use planning. She is passionate about building relationships and cultivating sustainable, inclusive, and ethical plans that honour those who live(d) in the past, present, and future.
