Saif Nayani, winner of 911³Ô¹Ï's 2023 3MT competition, shares why you should "just do it" and take the 3MT challenge this year

911³Ô¹Ï CERi proudly announces the recipients of the 2023 911³Ô¹Ï CERi Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in community-engaged research.

3MT winner, Elana Varner, shares how she used her passion for knowledge mobilization to land a fellowship with the California Council on Science and Technology and some advice for future 3MT participants.

Interviews with Dana Lepofsky (archaeology) and Gerhard Gries (biology) reveal similar supportive approaches to preparing their students for 3MT.

Ross is the 2022 recipient of the CAGS-ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award in the field of Engineering, Medical Sciences, and Natural Sciences for her ground-breaking and revolutionary research on muscle mass. Her research has ultimately changed the way in which we understand how muscles contract to move the body.

Dr. Poh Tan, currently working on her second PhD (this time in Education) at 911³Ô¹Ï, was nominated for the 2023 YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Education, Training and Development category.

Penelakut First Nation member, Valerie Suli’xwi’ye Bob, spent much of her life giving and she's gifted 911³Ô¹Ï her PhD Hul'q’umi'num' language research. On August 9, 2023, 911³Ô¹Ï determined there was an opportunity to give back to Valerie when her PhD degree was conferred in front of her family and community members at her home. Read more
