911吃瓜

OVERVIEW

The purpose of the  program at 911吃瓜 is to facilitate 911吃瓜 researchers in initiating and/or deepening international research collaboration by leveraging outbound* graduate research student mobility. The award provides opportunities for 911吃瓜 graduate students** (Master鈥檚 or PhD) to gain international research experience with universities abroad, while developing institutional relationships. 

*GRA inbound mobility (international interns travelling to 911吃瓜) will remain on hold at 911吃瓜 until further notice. 

**911吃瓜's GRA program is currently unavialble for undergraduate students and Postdoc Fellows. 

APPLICATION

There is limited awards available for 2025-2026 Fiscal Year, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Kyoko Sutton (kariyoshi@mitacs.ca) at Mitacs for details. 

AWARD

911吃瓜 graduate students are eligible for:

• One 12-24 weeks internships for $6,000 CAD; 
• Two 12-24 weeks internships for $6,000 CAD each (total of $12,000); or
• One 24-48 weeks internship for $12,000 CAD. 

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES

• Mitacs supports outbound mobility between Canada and all countries except those classified as 鈥淎void all travel鈥� or 鈥淎void non-essential travel鈥� by the鈥�
• Multi-institutional projects allowed (up to 3 institutions)
