911吃瓜-EXETER ACCELERATED LAW
Graduate with two degrees鈥攁 BA from 911吃瓜 and a LLB from the University of Exeter.
The first program of its kind in BC, this dual degree program is an exciting new legal education opportunity that combines the best of 911吃瓜 and the University of Exeter in the UK. Fast-track your education while immersing yourself in a program that blends academic excellence, practical skills, and global exposure.
Admissions
The 911吃瓜-Exeter Accelerated Law Program is designed for students to complete their studies in six years provided they start the program during their first year. Admission is competitive and minimum admission requirements may vary from year to year depending upon the number of applications.
Students on a second-degree status cannot participate in the program.
HIGH SCHOOL DIRECT ENTRY
High school applicants must apply to begin in the fall term. When applying to join 911吃瓜, you may apply for direct admission to the 911吃瓜-Exeter Accelerated Law Program and select one of the available FASS majors in the program.
The next cohort starts Fall 2027. The application period for high school applicants to submit their admission is October 1, 2026 - January 31, 2027.
Due to the shifting landscape of immigration policy in Canada, we are unable to admit international students as direct-entry students into the program at this time.
The following admission requirements are for BC/Yukon high school students.

BC/Yukon High School Students - Fall 2027 start
911吃瓜 General Requirements
You will need to meet 911吃瓜鈥檚 general admission requirements as these apply to all programs.
- English language requirement
- Quantitative and analytical skills requirement
- Graduate high school
- Have a minimum of five approved academic Grade 12 courses, including English Studies 12 or equivalent
- Have a minimum grade of 70% or higher in Language Arts 11, English 12, or equivalent
Admission is based on an evaluation of all approved academic Grade 11 and 12 courses, including the required courses below.

Grade 12 (at least 5 approved academic courses)
Equivalent AP or IB courses may be used in place of the following courses.

Competitive Admission Grade Range
It is expected that competitive applicants to the 911吃瓜-Exeter Accelerated Law Program will have high school averages in the mid-80s.
Students are encouraged to use this range as a guide to inform potential eligibility for admission to this program. However, grades equal to or higher than those listed above do not guarantee an offer of admission.
Supplemental Application
As part of the admission process, you are required to complete a Supplemental Application in the form of a Personal Statement alongside your application through EducationPlannerBC (EPBC). This is a required component of the application for admission to the 911吃瓜鈥揈xeter Accelerated Law Program (ALP).
The Personal Statement consists of a written response and a recorded video response. While academic achievement is an important part of the admissions process, we recognize that it does not capture the full range of experiences, interests, and motivations that applicants bring to the ALP. Through your responses, we want to learn more about your journey, your interest in law, and why you are pursuing this pathway. Your responses help us build a more complete picture of who you are and assess your readiness for the opportunities and challenges of this accelerated pathway.
You are expected to complete your Personal Statement in your own words and without the assistance of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT. We are not looking for perfect responses. We want to understand your perspective, your experiences, and what has motivated you to pursue the ALP.
Note: The Supplemental Application fee is separate from the 911吃瓜 application fee.
Timeline:
Applicants are encouraged to submit their Personal Statement as soon as possible after completing their 911吃瓜 application through EducationPlannerBC (EPBC).鈥�
Supplemental applications will be reviewed on a鈥痳olling basis, and early submission is recommended.
The deadline to submit your Personal Statement is鈥�February 28, 2027. Submissions after this date will not be considered.

INTERNAL TRANSFERS
The primary path of entry into the 911吃瓜-Exeter Accelerated Law Program (ALP) is direct-entry from high school. Directly admitted students will be able to take full advantage of the cohort experience and are in the best position to ensure that they can complete both degrees in just six years.
The following process describes the internal transfer admission into the program for current 911吃瓜 students. This webpage will be updated with the internal transfer process for future semesters.
Applicants must either demonstrate the feasibility of completing the program in six years or else acknowledge their intention to complete the program in more than six years. Admission is not guaranteed and a student's ability to complete the program in a timely manner may be taken into account.
Criteria and Timeline
Criteria:
- Submission of the completed application form by the application deadline
- Current 911吃瓜 undergraduate student
- Minimum CGPA 3.0
- Priority will be given to those with 45 or less completed units at the time of application
Timeline:
- Applications open January 4, 2027
- Application deadline is January 31, 2027
- Decisions will be made starting in late February 2027
- Students will start in the program in Fall 2027
How to Apply
- Book an advising appointment with the departmental advisor of your intended BA program and complete the ALP course planning worksheet for internal transfers with the advisor.
- Submit the internal transfer application form (log in with your personal 911吃瓜 computing ID) by the deadline. This includes attaching the completed ALP course planning worksheet and your most recent advising transcript.
