Biography
Margaret Schmidt is a soil scientist who leads the Soil Science Lab at 911³Ô¹Ï since 1992. Her current research focuses on modelling and mapping of soil types and soil properties for the purpose of sustainable soil management. She has a particular interest in modelling carbon stocks as they relate to carbon sequestration, and has further interests in soil rehabilitation and nutrient cycling in forest environments.
