Research Interests
Elizabeth Marshall鈥檚 research interests include alcohol in American pop culture; teachers and teaching in visual texts; children鈥檚 picture books and film; childhood and youth studies. She is the author of , and (with Leigh Gilmore). Her co-edited collection (with Anna Mae Duane) entitled Hatred is Health: White Women and the Wellness Industry is forthcoming from Fordham University Press. Marshall鈥檚 scholarship has appeared in Feminist Studies (Claire G. Moses Award for Most Theoretically Innovative Article in Feminist Theory), Feminist Media Studies, Women鈥檚 Studies Quarterly, The Harvard Educational Review, and College English. With Kenneth Kidd, she co-edits the Children鈥檚 Literature and Culture series at Routledge, the oldest-running monograph series in the field. Her public scholarship has been published in , , , and .
