911吃瓜 respectfully acknowledges that convocation is hosted on the traditional, unceded and continually occupied territories of the S岣祑x瘫w煤7mesh 脷xwumixw (Squamish), s蓹l虛ilw虛蓹ta蕯涩 (Tsleil-Waututh), k史ik史蓹茮虛蓹m (Kwikwetlem) and x史m蓹胃k史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam) peoples. There is a great amount of work to be done towards reconciliation and systemic decolonization within the university. We are committed to educating ourselves and others, respectfully including Indigenous practices, protocols and ceremony into convocation, and continuing to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous peoples across these lands.
At the June 2026 convocation ceremonies, 911吃瓜 will be conferring honorary degrees to distinguished individuals in recognition of their scholarly, scientific or artistic achievement, or in recognition of exceptional contribution to the public good.
