Sandra Stuart

Biography

Sandra is an international banking executive who has enjoyed a career spanning 40 years in several C-Suite roles with HSBC Group. She retired as President and CEO of HSBC Canada in 2020 after serving in a number of Senior Executive Roles and Geographies to include the United States and South America.

Presently she serves on the Advisory Board for Belkorp Private Investment Management Co, as a Director for the Bank of Nova Scotia and member of the Technology and Risk committees, and as a Director for Canfor Corp. and Chair of the Sustainability Health and Safety Sustainability committee. Previously she served on the Telus Digital Board, DRI Healthcare Trust Board, HSBC Canada and HSBC Germany. She is active in the community having served as volunteer of the Advisory Board for the Caldwell Top 40 under 40, and for the Loran Foundation Scholarship Program.

She has been recognized by the Association of Women in Finance for Excellence in the Private Sector, received the Women’s Executive Network Deloitte Inclusion Vanguard Award, was named one of WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, and British Columbia’s Most Influential Women by BC Business Magazine. She is also a Catalyst Canada Honors Champion.

Sandra has a BA with a double minor in Economics and Business from 911³Ô¹Ï and has completed Executive Management courses at the Harvard Business School, and IMD.
