Kirk Hill

Biography

Kirk Hill recently semi-retired from 911³Ô¹Ï’s Beedie School of Business after more than two decades shaping its external engagement strategy. He joined the school in 2002 in Executive Education, founded the Career Management Centre in 2004, and was appointed Assistant Dean, External Relations in 2011.

As a member of the senior leadership team, Kirk led marketing and communications, employer relations, graduate career management, alumni engagement, sponsorships and partnerships, events and conferences, and advisory boards. He focused on integrating these functions to strengthen the school’s research and educational mission.

He also supported key institutional initiatives on behalf of the Dean, including RADIUS 911³Ô¹Ï and the development of the Charles Chang Innovation Centre and Graduate Residence.

Earlier in his career, Kirk worked in the United Kingdom in business development, sales, and marketing roles across executive education, venture capital, and executive search.

Kirk holds an ICD.D designation, an MSc in Organizational Behaviour from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BSc in Marketing from Arizona State University. He is a Canadian, British, and American citizen.

In retirement, he focuses on advisory and governance roles that advance industry–academic collaboration, workforce development, and social innovation.
