911³Ô¹Ï alumni shine in YWCA Women of Distinction Award nominations
911³Ô¹Ï is proud to congratulate 10 of our alumni nominated for Metro Vancouver YWCA’s Women of Distinction Awards for 2023! The awards honour individuals and organizations whose outstanding activities and achievements contribute to the well-being and future of the community.
The 911³Ô¹Ï alumni nominees are:

- Angela Kermer (BGS)
- Courtney Mienkina (BEd, PDP)
- Nafoni Modi (BA)
- Mary-Jane Piggott (MBA)
- Michella Sklar (Post-Bac Diploma)
- Dr. Poh Tan (PhD, BSc)
- Dr. Karen Tee (PhD, MA)
The successful recipients will be announced during the Women of Distinction Awards on May 9, 2023 at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver.
In addition, each YWCA Women of Distinction nominee is eligible to win the Connecting the Community Award. The recipient is selected by public vote, and the winner chooses a YWCA cause that is important to her, donating $10,000, courtesy of Scotiabank, to the YWCA program of her choice. Voting is now open until April 12. !
