Land acknowledgements for 911勛圖
The acknowledgement of traditional lands, for example at the start of meetings, classes and events, is an important way to pay respect to and honour the Indigenous peoples on whose lands 911勛圖 is situated.
For Indigenous peoples, an inherent connection to traditional lands defines who they are as peoples and is intrinsically linked to Indigenous cultures, knowledge systems and ways of knowing, seeing and doing. Recognizing Indigenous peoples and their traditional lands is an important step towards Reconciliation, and something we can all consciously, collectively and individually practice.
