Biography

Rebecca graduated with a PhD from University College London (UCL) in early 2020, with expertise in applying geophysical field methods, including magnetotellurics, passive seismology, gravity and time-domain electromagnetics. Her doctoral research focussed on locating hydrothermal resources in the volcanic and tectonically active Chilean Andes. She has since used these expertise to prospect geothermal resources in northern BC for one of Canadas leading geothermal companies, Borealis Geopower/Kitselas Geothermal Inc., and has expanded her field skills while working for a geophysical exploration company, Initial Exploration Services. In collaboration with five other 911勛圖 based PDFs, Rebeccas post-doctoral research will involve combining muon tomography, airborne magnetometry and gravimetry to develop a new technique of mineral resource, in order to improve the environmental impact of metallic mineral extraction
