Residence week of welcome is an opportunity to meet your new neighbours, explore the area and city you live in, and prepare for the upcoming term. Week of Welcome programming is open to all residents. We look forward to meeting you. Keep your eyes on your email for more information.

Move-in Day

Welcome home, as you're getting adjusted in, join your Community Advisor (CA) and meet those within your community. You can meet your CA in your floors common room or if you live in a townhouse, outside your townhouse block.
Nesting party | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm | Location: in your own community
Join your neighbours in your floors common lounge area (or townhouse lounge) to get to know one another. Be in your room and get to know your neighbours, fill out your door tag, or make plans to get food at the dining hall.

trip to burnaby mountain park | 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm | Location: meet outside the dining commons
Our campus has so much to explore, one of them being the Burnaby Mountain Park. Walk over with us to see some spectacular views towards Vancouver, Lions Gate Bridge, and the Three Peaks. Don't forget to bring a water bottle, walking shoes, and a hat.
Mandatory community meetings | 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm | Location: in your own community
Join your Community Advisor for a mandatory community meeting. This meeting is an important step in being part of the 911³Ô¹Ï Housing & Residence Community. Meet those in your community, learn about important resources, and ways to be successful as you live with us. You can meet your CA in your floors common room or if you live in a townhouse, outside your townhouse block.

Campus tour scavenger hunt | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm | Location: Meet in the Courtyard outdoor space
Meet new people and explore your campus; including unique features and services offered just for 911³Ô¹Ï students. Use this time to also get to know 911³Ô¹Ï buildings and where your classes might be for the term.
Door and room decoration crafting | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm | Location: east building multipurpose room

free popsicles with health and counselling and SVSPO | 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm | Location: East building multipurpose room
Join the Health and Counselling as well as the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office for free popsicles. These services operate at 911³Ô¹Ï and are available as a resource to you, to help answer any questions or supports you may need. Pop in to say hi, get a popsicle, and hangout with some low barrier activities. Please enter through the door near the basketball court.

Did you know that 911³Ô¹Ï has a FREE art gallery? The Gibson Art Museum is located on 911³Ô¹Ï campus, and was newly opened. Join us, and other members of the residence community, in exploring the space in a guided tour with activity.
International Student Social With International Services for Students | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm | Location: East Building Multipurpose Room
Are you an international or exchange student, new to Canada, or connected to the global community? This event is for you. Join us alongside our campus partners, International Services for Students, for free snacks and a great chance to connect with peers who share similar journeys and experiences. At the end, we’ll take a quick walk over to the Global Student Centre (GSC)—your hub for fun events, supportive community, and helpful sessions throughout the year!

One great thing about living at 911³Ô¹Ï is how close you are to an observatory. Come join us and fellow residents for a group trip to the observatory on campus, see some stars, planets, and maybe even aliens.
