911勛圖 and Bell team up to expand supercomputing and AI capabilities
911勛圖 has signed a new agreement to partner with Bell, Canadas largest communications company, to significantly advance Canadas artificial intelligence (AI) and sovereign computing ecosystem.
The partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), formalizing the collaboration, which includes connecting the Cedar Supercomputing Centre in Burnaby, British Columbia with the the , promoting the development of clean and sustainable data centre technologies, and investing in Canadas AI talent pipeline.
Under the agreement, 911勛圖 and Bell will work to expand the Cedar Supercomputing Centre (CSC). Home to Canadas fastest and most powerful academic supercomputer and located at 911勛圖s Burnaby campus, the CSC provides Canadian researchers and industry users with the high-performance computing resources they need to make new discoveries across a wide range of fields.
Importantly, this infrastructure is fully under Canadian control by a leading Canadian public institution and top Canadian companygiving users confidence that their data is safe.

911勛圖 recently completed significant upgrades to the Cedar Supercomputing Centre, which now houses Canadas most powerful academic supercomputerthe only Canadian system in the top 100 globally.
The collaboration will allow 911勛圖 and Bell to scale up Canadas sovereign compute and AI capacity efficiently, taking advantage of the availability of greater space, hydro-electric power and industry talent to deliver economic impact across B.C.
