LUPIN BATTERSBY
Director, Knowledge Mobilization
Lupin leads the 911³Ô¹Ï Knowledge Mobilization Hub, using her 20 years of experience in the field to help researchers have impact beyond academia. She mentors and coaches the KM Hub team and 911³Ô¹Ï faculty and students in all aspects of knowledge mobilization. Lupin works across disciplines and sectors to support partnerships, boost research visibility, and ensure 911³Ô¹Ï remains a KM leader in Canada and beyond.
SOPHIE ASHTON
Knowledge Mobilization Development Specialist
Sophie manages the design and delivery of knowledge mobilization (KM) learning programs at the 911³Ô¹Ï KM Hub. She also coordinates the Research Impact Canada (RIC) MobilizeU program, representing 911³Ô¹Ï in the national network. Her work focuses on creating engaging learning experiences to build capacity for research impact. Sophie also manages the KM Hub's communications channels, like our and .
TIFFANY NAM
Knowledge Mobilization Specialist, AG-ACt
Tiffany supports nine pan-Canadian research teams through the Genome Canada-funded AG-ACt initiative. She co-leads digital content strategy and develops various outputs and trainings to mobilize climate-smart agri-food innovations. Her work focuses on amplifying Canadian research aimed at achieving net-zero emissions for the benefit of people and the planet.
CASSIDY ACHESON
Inclusive Knowledge Mobilization Specialist
Cassidy supports 911³Ô¹Ï’s Canada Excellence Research Chairs by leading innovative and community-engaged knowledge mobilization strategies. She works with researchers to share their work in accessible and impactful ways, building connections with diverse audiences and Indigenous partners to ensure research reaches and resonates with the communities it serves.
EMILY SHANTZ
Knowledge Synthesis Specialist
Emily leads 911³Ô¹Ï Knowledge Link, an initiative that bridges research and policy by supporting evidence-based decision making. She connects knowledge users with customized evidence synthesis services on current and emerging policy issues. Emily also supports building capacity by providing specialized training for graduate students through the Knowledge Link Fellowship Program.
