Sharing Insights and Building Connections: Gabriella and Aryana Present at ELCHA Event on Aging-Related Research
Two Masters students and research assistants, at the Lifelong Health and Wellbeing Lab at 911勛圖, Gabriella and Aryana, recently presented their research posters at the ELCHA (Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging) event on February 19th. Gabriella presented a poster about the COPE (A畚omprehensive approach to enhance Older adults Preparedness for Extreme heat) project, and Aryana presented a poster on the DASH (A comprehensive investigation of daily social events and health in older adults) project.
This event celebrated aging-related research by ELCHA Investigators and trainees, featuring oral presentations, a poster presentation session, and networking opportunities. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear a keynote address by Dr. Hans-Peter Kohler from the Population Aging Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Reflecting on the experience, Aryana shared: " The ELCHA event was a great experience. The faculty presentations gave us insight into other interesting research topics. We created connections with other graduate students, working on similar research, for future collaborations.
This opportunity not only allowed Gabriella and Aryana to share their insights but also reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing aging-related challenges.
