Research Day on Aging 2025

On November 6, 2025, the Gloria Gutman Gerontology Research Centre and Department of Gerontology hosted the university-wide initiative that celebrates interdisciplinary research and innovation in the field of aging. Researchers shared exciting work spanning accessibility, climate resilience, and partnership with older adults.

Dr. Parminder Raina from McMaster University, and Principal Investigator of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging, delivered a keynote address to kickstart the day. Held in a dynamic flash-talk format, the program featured a diverse range of 5-minute presentations across disciplines. Representing IE Lab, Cindy presented on the NeighbourABLE project, Letitia shared insights from the COPE Engage initiative and Sasha presented on SWAN-Climate. Other team members from our complementary project AIRP were also among the total 34 participants who presented scope and findings from various projects.

These knowledge-sharing and research exchange events position 911³Ô¹Ï as a leader in the field of aging and serve as a strong example of fostering collaboration across diverse disciplines.
