The Faculty of Health Sciences is hosting an information session regarding the Summer 2026 offering of HSCI 885/496: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Understanding the Global Burden of HIV Among Youth. The info session will be held on December 19, from 9:00 AM 10:30 AM
This intersession course will be held in Durban, South Africa from Monday, May 4, 2026 to Friday, May 15, 2026. This is an immersive global health field-course experience in a high-burden HIV setting.
The course brings together equal numbers of FHS and African trainees (from Botswana, Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda) to work in cross-cultural cohorts. FHS students are drawn from the MPH Program and upper-level undergraduates.
In addition to information about the course and how to apply, interested students will hear from previous FHS peers that have completed the course.
