Volunteer Opportunity - Graduate Student Representative, 911³Ô¹Ï Biosafety Committee
911³Ô¹Ï's Biosafety Committee is seeking a graduate student representative for a volunteer position. The ideal candidate will have direct work experience with biohazardous materials or be highly familiar with best practices or developing policies and regulations related to the handling, use, and disposal of biohazards in a laboratory setting.
This is a standing committee of 911³Ô¹Ï, with faculty and staff representation from across campus. It is charged with overseeing the handling, use and disposal of biohazardous materials by all members of the 911³Ô¹Ï community including faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduate researchers. The committee is responsible for developing and implementing programs and procedures with respect to biohazardous materials at 911³Ô¹Ï.
Graduate student representatives are asked to be available to meet four times over the next two years (the committee meets twice a year for 1.5 to 2 hours each time).
