FIND SUPPORTS AT 911³Ô¹Ï
911³Ô¹Ï Health & Counselling provides accessible, individually-tailored, and effective services to improve mental health and wellbeing. All registered 911³Ô¹Ï students have access to free, confidential, time-limited supports, such as individual counselling, as well as services and virtual programs to address a wide variety of concerns. Health & Counselling has a large inventory of supports for all students as well as services and resources for:
- Mental health support
- International student support
- LGBTQ2S+ student support
- Indigenous student support
- Black student support
- Students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning
My SSP provides free, confidential, 24/7 counselling support with a registered clinical counsellor through the My SSP app or by phone any time of day, from anywhere in the world. My SSP is available to support all 911³Ô¹Ï students with a range of concerns; you can contact My SSP if you are looking for some extra guidance or support, or if you’re in a state of crisis or distress.
911³Ô¹Ï Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office offers free and confidential support, information, and advice about sexual violence; if you have experienced sexual violence, you can receive help from SVSPO no matter when or where the incident took place
Centre for Accessible Learning provides disability related information, support, and counselling to the 911³Ô¹Ï community and supports equal participation by coordinating the provision of reasonable academic accommodations and services for students with disabilities
911³Ô¹Ï Bullying & Harassment Central Hub offers supports and services to anyone, students and employees, who has witnessed or experienced by bullying and harassment at 911³Ô¹Ï

911³Ô¹Ï Health & Counselling offers daily Drop-in Advising to speak with an Access Case Manager one-on-one (approximately 30 minutes) on a first come, first-served basis and LiveChat Support to assist you with general questions related to mental health support, services, and resources.

offer immediate, 24/7 access to services for anyone in the province considering suicide or those with mental health or substance use disorders
- 1-800-SUICIDE is for individuals considering suicide, or for those who are concerned about someone who may be at risk or suicide
- 310Mental Health Support (310-6789) is a crisis line that provides emotional support, information and resources specific to mental health and substance use disorders
offers 24/7 immediate mental health counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada. Call the toll-free Help Line at 1-855-242-3310 or connect to the online chat at hopeforwellness.ca
provides medically approved information on over 5000 health topics, symptoms, medical tests, medications, and tips for healthy eating and lifestyle choices. Call 8-1-1 to speak with a health service navigator (for health information or health services, or to connect you with a nurse, dietician, or pharmacist) or registered nurse (for non-emergency health concerns) anytime of the day or night). 8-1-1 service is available in Punjabi, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and is accessible through VRS and TTY

CONNECT WITH PEERS
Health Peers work with the Health Promotion team at Health & Counselling to support student health and wellbeing on campus through free events and workshops
is a peer mentoring group open to all undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences with the goal of strengthening the FHS community by connecting incoming first-year students with senior students to create a welcoming environment for all
Dissertation & Thesis Support Group is a safe and confidential space for graduate students writing their thesis or dissertation to share their experiences and receive support, with a focus on peer emotional support, goal setting, and anxiety/stress management
LEARN NEW TOOLS & SKILLS
Bouncing Forward is a free, non-credit Canvas course designed to help you build resilience and enhance your wellbeing. Bouncing Forward aims to teach students how to build personal resilience, identify and access resources, and improve wellbeing
will help you learn how to recognize when someone may be struggling with their mental health, and gives you five Golden Rules to help you support and be there for them
STAY WELL
brings together a group of leading mental health and substance use non-profit agencies to help people live well and better prevent and manage mental health and substance use problems, whether for yourself or someone else
will help you reflect on your mental, physical, and social wellbeing and identify and explore useful and free resources in BC based on your answers
