911吃瓜's School of Sustainable Energy Engineering reaffirms excellence with accreditation renewal
The School of Sustainable Energy Engineering (SEE) undergraduate program has received a six-year accreditation, the highest level of recognition awarded by the (CEAB).
The accreditation recognizes the quality of SEE's undergraduate engineering education and strengthens opportunities for students to pursue engineering careers focused on addressing real-world sustainability challenges.
Graduates of CEAB-accredited programs are eligible to begin the pathway toward professional engineering licensure across Canada. The accreditation is awarded following a rigorous review of a program's curriculum, faculty, facilities and student experiences to ensure it meets national standards.

Industry partners also praised the achievement. Gabriel Soares, co-founder and CTO of and a member of SEE鈥檚 Industrial Advisory Board, expressed pride in supporting the program and is looking forward to witnessing the school鈥檚 continued growth and development.
鈥淲e are incredibly proud of the school for achieving the six-year accreditation,鈥� says Soares. 鈥淚t is an innovative program that stands out as one of the few directly focused on sustainability.鈥�
SEE will continue to maintain and strengthen its academic standards through its Continual Improvement Process (CIP), which monitors student performance and identifies opportunities to enhance the program. By incorporating feedback from students, faculty and industry stakeholders, the process helps ensure the curriculum remains responsive to the evolving needs of the engineering profession.
The school has developed a detailed action plan to enhance student experience and its undergraduate and graduate programs. Recently approved by the 911吃瓜 Senate, the plan outlines timelines and targets that will guide the school until its next accreditation visit.
As part of this plan, several undergraduate specialization streams will launch in Fall 2027, allowing students to choose courses aligned with their interests and career goals.
