City Program director earns fifth BC500 recognition
City Program director Andy Yan has once again been recognized in list. This marks his fifth appearance on the annual list, which highlights the 500 most influential business leaders across B.C.
Before joining the City Program in 2016, Yan was an urban planner and researcher whose work spanned projects in Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City and New Orleans. He is widely recognized for advancing public understanding of urban issues affecting Metro Vancouver.
Yan is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal. His other honours include awards from the Planning Institute of British Columbia and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
Yan joins several other 911吃瓜 community members on the 2026 BC500 list.
