RADIUS’ Director, Programming: Goodbye Véronik, and Welcome Nada

June 15, 2026
The Refugee Livelihood Lab team, 2023

RADIUS’ Director of Programming, Véronik Campbell, joined our team in January 2020, leading the RADIUS labs portfolio with care, compassion, and fiery determination to do the best work we could in support of the communities we serve; as a member of RADIUS’ Leadership Team, she helped shift, develop, and implement our strategic goals to help make us the organization we are today. Her departure from our team has been long planned but her absence is keenly felt.

We are pleased to announce that we have filled the role of Director, Programming with our own Nada El Masry. Nada joined RADIUS in 2018 to co-found and lead the Refugee Livelihood Lab with a fierce commitment to facilitating systems change toward migrant justice. In addition to building and growing the Refugee Livelihood Lab, Nada has been an instrumental part of the RADIUS team over the years, working with our Consulting & Training Services team on significant projects, representing RADIUS nationally at several conferences, being an incredible relationship builder on behalf of RADIUS, and showing up with our team as needed to support, challenge, and celebrate our work.

We know that Nada is the right person to step into this leadership role, are excited to continue to learn and grow together with her.

Lastly, some words from Véronik upon her departure:

Being part of RADIUS has never been just a job. It’s been a daily practice of choosing care, choosing courage, choosing honesty, and choosing to stay in relationship even when it is uncomfortable.

We often talk about “systems change” as something out there in the world — but what I’ve learned here is that systems change begins with how we choose to show up with one another. It happens in the small moments of listening deeply, naming tensions, rebuilding trust, repairing harm, and trying again. By the simple act of existing the way it does, RADIUS pushes against the norms that tell us workplaces must be efficient before they are humane, or decisive before they are relational. This team has refused to choose, insisting instead on doing both.

I am proud — deeply proud — to have been part of that work.

If I measure the success of my time here, it will never be by revenue raised or programs delivered. It will be by the trust that was built, the relationships that sustained us, the courage we modeled as a team, and the moments when we chose integrity over ease. Those are the gifts I will carry with me. They matter more to me than any metric ever could.

To the staff — past and present — thank you. For your honesty, your brilliance, your patience, your pushback, your humour, your tenderness, and the fierce care you bring into everything you do. You have shaped me as a human in ways I am still making sense of. Working alongside you has been such a privilege.

Leaving is not simple. For me, it is a decision rooted in growth, in humility, and in a commitment to the values we practice here. Sometimes systems change also requires making space — thoughtfully and with love.

RADIUS will continue to stretch what is possible in a workplace. And even from outside its inner circle, I will continue cheering for this team, this mission, and this way of being together in the work.
