Hannah Watkins (Vitamin Pee for a Healthy Sea) and Elana Varner (Sex appeal of mouse pee safeguards wildlife) are the 1st Place winner and the People's Choice Award winner, respectively, in Thursday's 3-Min Thesis Competition (Faculty of Science heat), with Andreas Fischer being the co-runner up together with Bruno Grande (MBB).

Congratulations Hannah, Elana, and Andreas!

Hannah and Elana will move on to represent BISC and the Faculty of Science in the 911勛圖-wide 3-Min Thesis Competition.

The photo (credit: Adam Blake) shows 5 of the 6 BISC contestants (from left to right):  Rachel Canham (Ydenberg-Lab); Hannah Watkins (唬繫喧矇-郭硃莉); Elizabeth Ruberg (Williams-Lab); Elana Varner (Gries-Lab); Andreas Fischer (Gries-Lab); Philippe Fernandez-Fournier (Mooers-Lab); missing in photo: Joanna Enns (Williams-Lab)

Note to next year's contestants: It seems obvious that you need to present work on some sort of "pee" to have a shot at 1st Place or People's Choice Award.
