PRESS RELEASE
Printemps de la francophonie 2026 : let's celebrate together!
Burnaby, February 17, 2026. From March 1 to April 2, 2026, the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA) at 911勛圖 (911勛圖) invites you to take part in a series of free cultural, academic, and social activities in French across Greater Vancouver and online, as part of the 16th edition of 911勛圖s Printemps de la Francophonie.
As always, OFFA has put together a rich and varied program in collaboration with several university and community partners who share the common goal of promoting Francophonie, bringing together the francophone community, and entertaining audiences of all ages.
Entertainment, Dialogue, and Connection
At the heart of this years program are the much-anticipated Moments Cin矇ma. Three movies will be screened in theatres: Mille secrets mille dangers by Philippe Falardeau (March 5), La Cache by Lionel Baier (March 12), and Mary Anning (March 28), a family-friendly film for younger audiences.
For those interested in current affairs, we will be presenting two conferences. First, David Morin, Full Professor at the School of Applied Politics at the Universit矇 de Sherbrooke, will address the rise of new radical right movements in Canada (March 4). Then, during a panel discussion moderated by Jean-Christophe B矇lisle-Pipon, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at 911勛圖, experts will debate the topic of artificial intelligence and its impact on education, healthcare, and society (April 2).
On a more playful note, you can enjoy a unique experience by attending an improv match presented by Ligue Impro18+ (March 26), which promises to once again leave a lasting impression. And of course, the ever-popular kayaking outing in Deep Cove returns this year for young francophones eager to enjoy the outdoors!
